These days, Networking has become the necessity of life. To be successful in life, networking is very important. Networking is also the key to a good social life. No matter what you are; a student, an employee, a manager, owner of an organization or the higher authorities of a nation all need one thing and i.e. strong social networking.
Social networking is the social structure made up of individuals called as ‘nodes’ which are tied together by a one or more specific kind of interdependency, such as common interest, friendship, kinship, financial exchange, knowledge, prestige, etc.
To be stable in the market, in terms of career or establishment of business and for competing with others, for everything we all need a strong social networking.
In today’s era, it doesn’t matter ‘what you know’, the thing that matters here is ‘who you know’. The knowledge you are having is important but not that much, the thing that is really important here is the level of networking and sources you are having. The more contacts and recommendations you are having, the more successful you will be. These networking’s boost one’s career to the extreme.
In life, networks is our safety net- the people we contact for getting a job, or for getting a contract in our favour, for supporting a nation, by other nation, at the time of wars or other crises are invaluable.
In Business, networking is the vehicle to spread "word of mouth". Networking is the primary source of referrals. In the business world, referrals are warm leads, almost ready to buy, as opposed to what you can get from cold-calling or direct mail.
These days, a strong social networking is really needed as knowing the right person increases your chances of getting ahead. No doubt, that knowledge is necessary but it’s also true that a person with strong social networking succeeds more than the person who is having only knowledge. Competition is increasing day by day, and only knowledge or intelligence will not make you to survive in the market for a longer period, you need strong contacts and sources of referrals, people who can recommend you, to be in the market for a longer period.
As a car cannot run only with its engine, it requires wheels to move, similarly, people cannot move ahead only with their knowledge and intelligence, they need strong networking as their wheels to move ahead and to win the race of life.
